In the middle of South Africa’s famous Garden Route, the hotel is just 1 km from Knysna and nestled in amongst beautiful countryside just a few hundred metres from the Knysna lagoon. The nearest airport is at George, 65 kilometres away.These are really excellent 3* rooms, all en-suite with satellite TV, fans and table and chairs. The decor in the rooms follows a forest theme with stylish pictures of ferns and other plants. Each room has a terrace either overlooking one of the hotel’s pools or gardens.This is a fantastic restaurant with a very good reputation. The menu is changed regularly and offers a fantastic choice of local and international food. I wide choice of wine is also available. The restaurant itself has wooden floors and large windows overlooking the grounds.The old manor house forms the focal point of the lodge, and there are single storey chalets with thatched roofs, spread out amongst the lawns.A quaint and welcoming lobby greets all guests.
